Jeans for Genes Day

22nd September 2017

This Friday, 22nd September 2017 we will be taking part in this year’s ‘Jeans for Genes’ Day.
Pupils and staff are invited to wear their jeans or something denim to school, such as a denim skirt or pinafore dress, for a £1.00 contribution. This is to raise money for ‘Jeans for Genes’.

‘Jeans for Genes’ is a national charity raising money for children with genetic disorders. Their aim is to fund the care and support these youngsters need now and further develop the research which could change their futures.

In the UK, one baby in every 25 is born with a genetic disorder. Although individually these disorders can be extremely rare, together they are the biggest killer of children aged 14 and under.
