Safer Internet Day takes place on Tuesday 6th February, which is coordinated by the UK Safer Internet Centre. At UBPS, we want to continually promote the safe and positive use of digital technology that our children use as we recognise the difficult challenges they could face in the continually developing online world. Therefore you are warmly invited to our Online Safety Awareness Workshop on Tuesday 6th February from 6:30pm. The main purpose of the workshop will be to learn about specific online concerns and dangers which your child could face or be exposed to, and to find out how you can minimise the risks. We will also be joined by an A-level Computing student from Steyning Grammar School who will share their expertise and knowledge. We hope at the end of the evening you will feel you have a greater understanding of the dangers your child could face and you will take away knowledge of where to go for help and advice if you have any concerns. As part of Safer Internet Day, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two children will have special assemblies about how to keep themselves safe when using the Internet, as well as class discussions through Computing and PSCHE lessons. I hope you are able to join us for what will be a valuable and informative workshop.
