Jeans for Genes

In October, we take part in ‘Jeans for Genes’ Day. Pupils and staff are invited to wear their jeans or something denim to school, such as a denim skirt or pinafore dress, for a small contribution.

‘Jeans for Genes’ is a national charity raising money for children with genetic disorders. Their aim is to fund the care and support these youngsters need now and further develop the research which could change their futures.

In the UK, one baby in every 25 is born with a genetic disorder. Although individually these disorders can be extremely rare, together they are the biggest killer of children aged 14 and under.
